Section 520

Artistic works made before 10 April 1987 — no copyright if work is registrable design

This Act does not confer any copyright on an artistic work made before 10 April 1987 if the work, when it was made —

(a)

was a design capable of being registered under the Patents and Designs Act 1907 of the United Kingdom (U.K. 1907, c. 29); and

(b)

was used, or intended to be used, as a model or pattern to be multiplied by an industrial process.
