Any person who obstructs or hinders any authorised officer acting in the discharge of his duty under this Act or any regulations made thereunder shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $2,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both.

“authorised officer” means —(a)any officer of the Central Narcotics Bureau appointed under section 3 of the Misuse of Drugs Act including the Director;(b)any police officer; and(c)any other person authorised in writing by the Minister for the purposes of this Act;
