New section 24A
The principal Act is hereby amended by inserting immediately after section 24 thereof the following section: —“Affixing of common seal24A.—
(1)
The fixing of the common seal of the Board shall be authenticated by the signature of —
(a)
the Chairman or a Deputy Chairman; and
(b)
an officer of the Board authorised by the Board, either generally or specially, to act for that purpose.(2) Any document purporting to be a document duly executed under the seal of the Board shall be admissible in evidence and shall, unless the contrary is proved, be deemed to be a document so executed.”.
