Regulation 8
Duty to operate specified EV chargers in compliance with safety and performance standards
The specified person must ensure that the operation of every specified EV charger complies with any of the following applicable safety and performance standards:
the version of European International Standard on Electric vehicle conductive charging system – Part 23: DC electric vehicle charging station published by the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization on 30 May 2014 (called EN 61851 23:2014);
the version of European International Standard on Electric vehicle conductive charging system – Part 23: DC electric vehicle charging station published by the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization on 3 June 2016 (called EN 61851‑23:2014/AC:2016‑06);
the version of European International Standard on Electric vehicle conductive charging system – Part 24: Digital communication between a DC EV charging station and an electric vehicle for control of DC charging by the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization on 30 May 2014 (called EN 61851‑24:2014);
the version of European International Standard on Electric vehicle conductive charging system – Part 24: Digital communication between a DC EV charging station and an electric vehicle for control of DC charging by the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization on 17 June 2015 (called EN 61851‑24:2014/AC:2015);
the version of European International Standard on Electric vehicle conductive charging system – Part 1: General requirements by the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization on 17 June 2015 (called EN IEC 61851‑1:2019).
