Any person who employs a pregnant female workman in contravention of regulation 3(1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000 and, in the case of a second or subsequent conviction under that regulation within one year, to a fine not exceeding $10,000.
