What is drinking water quality management plan
Each drinking water quality management plan must —
state —
the drinking water service to which the plan applies;
the identity particulars of the WQMP water provider supplying drinking water supplied by the WQMP water provider in the course of providing that drinking water service; and
the WQMP water provider’s telephone number, business address and contact address;
include details about the system (particularly the infrastructure) for —
the production of the drinking water that the WQMP water provider intends to supply in the course of the WQMP water provider’s drinking water service; and
the supply of that drinking water in the course of the WQMP water provider’s drinking water service;
include details of the policies, procedures and practices established by the WQMP water provider so as to monitor and ensure the compliance by the WQMP water provider with the applicable requirements of the Act so far as they relate to —
the production of the drinking water that the WQMP water provider intends to supply in the course of the WQMP water provider’s drinking water service; and
the supply of that drinking water in the course of the WQMP water provider’s drinking water service;
contain a risk management plan (as described in regulation 10) that is proportionate to the scale and complexity of, and the risks that relate to, the drinking water service to which the drinking water quality management plan applies;
set out measures to deal with customer complaints about the drinking water supplied by the WQMP water provider, and the processes to handle and dispose of the complaints;
identify how the drinking water quality management plan will be reviewed with a view to updating and improving it, and how its implementation will be revised, if necessary, to ensure that drinking water supplied by the WQMP water provider complies with the applicable requirements of the Act mentioned in sub‑paragraph (c);
identify how the supply of drinking water in the course of the WQMP water provider’s drinking water service will be monitored to ensure that drinking water supplied by the WQMP water provider complies with the applicable requirements of the Act mentioned in sub‑paragraph (c); and
include procedures to verify that the drinking water quality management plan is working effectively.
