22. Manner of investigation

An investigation under regulation 21(1) —

must be conducted in an informal manner in the presence of the NPCC cadet whose misconduct, act or omission is investigated into; and

must give the NPCC cadet an opportunity —

to answer all allegations made against him or her;

to call persons who can give evidence in support of his or her answers; and

to cross‑examine every witness and person making the allegations.
