Regulation 9

Disclosure by approved insurance broker

No approved insurance broker shall invite any person in Singapore to make an offer or a proposal to enter into a contract of insurance without disclosing to the person all material information, including —

(a)

its business name, business address, email address and telephone number;

(b)

its approved status;

(c)

that it is providing the insurance broking service from outside of Singapore and that it has no commercial or physical presence in Singapore;

(d)

that it is subject to limited oversight by the Authority and is required to comply with approval requirements, and not registration requirements, under the Act;

(e)

the type of insurance broking activity that it is approved to provide under these Regulations;

(f)

the name of the insurer;

(g)

his relationship with the insurer; and

(h)

the premium charged by the insurer.
