This Act may be cited as the Judges’ Remuneration (Amendment) Act, 1979, and shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of November 1977.

Clause 2

Amendment of section 2

Section 2 of the Judges’ Remuneration Act is amended by deleting subsection (1) thereof and substituting therefor the following: —“(1) There shall be paid to —

(a)

the Chief Justice an annual pensionable salary of one hundred and twenty-nine thousand seven hundred and eighty dollars;

(b)

the senior Judge of the Supreme Court an annual pensionable salary of one hundred and three thousand eight hundred dollars; and

(c)

every other Judge of the Supreme Court an annual pensionable salary of ninety-five thousand one hundred and sixty dollars.”.
