Removal from registers
(1)
The name and other particulars of any registered surveyor —
who has died;
whose registration has been cancelled under section 25; or
who has no address in Singapore at which he or she can be contacted or sent any document using his or her particulars in the register,must be removed from the register of surveyors and register of practitioners.
(2)
Any registered surveyor may apply to the Board to have his or her name removed from the register of surveyors.
(3)
Every application under subsection (2) must be made in the prescribed form and must be supported by an affidavit served on the Board at least 2 months before the application is heard.
(4)
The Board may for good cause require the applicant to advertise his or her intention to make the application in such manner as the Board directs.
(5)
Subject to subsection (6), the Board may after hearing the application direct the Registrar to remove the name of the applicant from the register of surveyors.
(6)
No order is to be made on an application under subsection (2) if the Board is satisfied that —
disciplinary action is pending against the applicant; or
the conduct of the applicant is the subject of an inquiry or investigation by an Investigation Committee.
