Regulation 29

Passing of examinations

Subregulation 1

No person shall be regarded as having passed the examination required for the purpose of section 12 (1)(a)(i) of the Act unless he —

(a)

successfully completed the Advanced Diploma in Land Surveying course with the Singapore Polytechnic and obtained his Diploma before 9th December 1999; and

(b)

obtains at least 60% of the marks in every subject specified in rule 27(1).

Subregulation 2

No person shall be regarded as having passed the further examination for the purpose of section 12(1)(a) (ii) of the Act unless —

(a)

he obtains at least 60% of the marks in every subject specified in rule 27(2)(a) or (b); and

(b)

except where the Board for special reason directs otherwise in respect of any particular person, he does so within 7 years from the date he was first notified by the Registrar, whether before, on or after 31st March 2005, that he has passed any subject in the further examination, regardless when his application to sit for any subject in the further examination was made.
