Clause 72

In the Road Traffic Act, in section 68, replace subsection (3) with —“(3) On a second or subsequent conviction for an offence under this section, a court convicting the offender is to, unless the court for special reasons thinks fit to not order or to order a shorter period of disqualification, order that the offender be disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for a period that is equal to or longer than 12 months starting on the date of the offender’s release from prison.”.
