Amendment of section 135
In the Road Traffic Act, in section 135 —
(a)
in subsection (1), after “relevant authorised officer”, insert “specially authorised by the appropriate Minister”;
(b)
in subsection (1), after “rules that is prescribed”, insert “by that Minister”;
(c)
in subsection (1B), replace paragraph (a) with —“(a)a Deputy Commissioner of Police;”;
(d)
in subsection (1B)(b), delete “specially authorised for the purposes of this section by the Deputy Commissioner of Police mentioned in paragraph (a)”; and
(e)
in subsection (1B)(d), delete “specially authorised by name for the purposes of this section in an instrument personally executed by the Registrar of Vehicles mentioned in paragraph (c)”.
