Procedure before filing of application for admission as lawyer (NP)
Subregulation 1
A qualified person who intends to apply for admission as a lawyer (NP) must, before filing an application for admission, and on or before filing an application to attend the Part B Course —
apply, in the form and manner required by the Institute, to register his or her name with the Institute; and
produce to the Institute any document that the Institute may require in relation to the qualification by virtue of which he or she claims to be a qualified person.
Subregulation 2
The Institute must enter in a register of qualified persons —
the name of the qualified person; and
the date on which the name is entered in the register.
Subregulation 3
The fee payable by a qualified person on his or her registration under this rule is as specified in the Second Schedule.
