46. Regulations

The Minister may make any regulations that are necessary or expedient for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this Act and, in particular, the regulations may —

prescribe the procedure for payments out of the Medifund Account and the criteria for approval of applications by eligible patients;

prescribe the procedure for the repayment of grants or subventions to the Medifund or ElderCare Fund, as the case may be;

prescribe the membership, terms of office and procedure of Medifund committees;

provide for the disposal of amounts which are unpaid or otherwise remain in any Medifund Account;

prescribe the proceedings of the Council; and

prescribe anything which may be prescribed under this Act.
