Reasons for performance assessment
In deciding whether to authorise an investigator to obtain the consent of a practitioner under section 50(3)(a) of the Act to undergo a performance assessment, the Complaints Committee shall have regard to all of the following:
any apparent tendency by the practitioner to use inappropriate or outdated techniques;
any apparent lack of basic medical knowledge on the part of the practitioner;
any apparent lack of familiarity with basic clinical or administrative procedures on the part of the practitioner;
any apparent poor record keeping or failure to keep up-to-date records by the practitioner;
any apparent inadequate practice arrangements involving the practitioner;
any apparent inadequate hygiene arrangements involving the practitioner; and
such other matters as the Complaints Committee considers relevant.
