1. Short title and commencement

This Act is the Medicines Act 1975.
Section 76 and the Second Schedule come into operation on a date that the Minister appoints by notification in the Gazette.
Minister
“Minister” means —(a)except as provided in paragraph (b), the Minister for Health; and(b)for the purpose of performing any function under this Act (whether by the making of any regulations or order or otherwise) where the function is performed exclusively in relation to veterinary medicinal products and animals, the Minister for National Development;
