Feedback & supportSECOND SCHEDULESections 14(2) and 30(b)Excluded shipFor the purposes of section 14, an excluded ship is a ship which —
is operated under a licence or permit, or is exempted from the requirement of a licence or permit under —
the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (Harbour Craft) Regulations; or

“port”, in relation to Singapore, has the meaning given by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Act 1996;
the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (Pleasure Craft) Regulations;
is insured under such policy of insurance covering the registered owner’s liability under this Act as required by the Port Master under those Regulations; and
registered owner
“registered owner”, in relation to a ship, means —(a)the person registered as the owner of the ship; or(b)in the absence of registration, the person owning the ship,except that, in relation to a ship owned by a State which is operated by a person registered in that State as the ship’s operator, it means the person registered as its operator;
navigates exclusively in areas within the limits of the port as may be declared under section 3 of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Act 1996.
