Appeals from directions and orders of registrar
Subregulation 1
An appeal shall lie from any direction or order of the registrar to a president of the Court.
Subregulation 2
An appeal under this rule shall be commenced by filing in the Court a notice of appeal in Form 52 addressed to the senior president of the Court not later than 14 days from the date of the direction or order of the registrar.
Subregulation 3
The appellant shall serve on every respondent to the appeal a copy of the notice of appeal within 3 days of filing the notice of appeal in the Court.
Subregulation 4
An appeal to a president of the Court under this rule shall be heard by way of rehearing.
Subregulation 5
No appeal shall lie from a decision of a president of the Court on an appeal under this rule except —
an appeal from an interim order made by the registrar under rule 14(1); and
an appeal from a consent decree or order made by the registrar under rule 26(1).
Subregulation 6
Notwithstanding anything in this rule, the Court may, if it thinks fit, extend the time required for the doing of any act under this rule.
