7. Eligibility

Subject to the provisions of this Act and its regulations, any person who is a citizen of Singapore or a permanent resident of Singapore shall be eligible to be enrolled as a cadet in the Corps.

“permanent resident” means a person who is not subject to any restriction as to his period of residence imposed under the provisions of any written law relating to immigration for the time being in force in Singapore;

The Minister may in special cases approve the enrolment of persons who are neither citizens of Singapore nor permanent residents of Singapore in the Corps.
