Regulation 13

Manner of dealing with appeals

Subregulation 1

The Board shall hear and determine appeals from employers, under section 6(3) of the Act, against the refusal of the Director to give his consent to the employment of any other person in the circumstances set out in section 6(1) of the Act.

Subregulation 2

Where the Board is divided in opinion on an appeal, the appeal shall be decided according to the decision of the majority of the Board or, if there is no such majority decision, according to the decision of the Chairman.

Subregulation 3

A decision of the Board on an appeal shall be signed by the Chairman and shall be delivered by him or by the Secretary to the Board on the direction of the Chairman.

Subregulation 4

Subject to these Regulations and any directions given by the Minister, the Board may regulate its own procedure.
