Clause 17

Section 45 of the principal Act is amended by inserting, immediately after subsection (4), the following subsection:“(4A) A postal licensee that, on or after the date of commencement of section 17 of the Postal Services (Amendment) Act 2021, contravenes any direction given to the postal licensee under subsection (1) or (2) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $1 million and, in the case of a continuing offence, to a further fine not exceeding $100,000 for every day or part of a day during which the offence continues after conviction.”.
