Exempt employers of security officers at construction workplaces
Section 16 of the Act shall not apply to the employer of any employee who in the course of his employment carries out the functions of a security officer at a construction workplace and at no other place, so long as the employer keeps and maintains a register at the construction workplace containing the following particulars and records of every such employee at that construction workplace:
(a)
the employee’s full name and identity card number;
(b)
the certificates of all courses of training referred to in paragraph 5(a) that the employee has attended and successfully completed; and
(c)
every declaration in writing referred to in paragraph 5(b) made by the employee.
