3. Restriction on parking of heavy vehicles

(1)

Subject to paragraph (2), no person shall, at any time during the specified period, park a heavy vehicle in any place other than the designated parking space.

(2)

Paragraph (1) shall not apply if the heavy vehicle is parked, at any time during the specified period, in any place other than the designated parking space —

(a)

for the purpose of taking up or setting down goods; (b)at or near a place where building works or street works are being carried out for use in respect of those works; or

(c)

that is an eligible parking place and all of the following conditions are satisfied:

(i)

a lodgement is made under rule 7(1) of the Parking Places (Parking of Heavy Vehicles — Lodgement) Rules 2026 in respect of the heavy vehicle to park the heavy vehicle at the eligible parking place;

(ii)

the lodgement mentioned in sub-paragraph (i) has not lapsed pursuant to rule 8 of the Parking Places (Parking of Heavy Vehicles — Lodgement) Rules 2026;

(iii)

the heavy vehicle is parked at the eligible parking place during the period specified in the lodgement.
