Citation and commencement
These Rules are the Road Traffic (Traffic Signs) (Amendment No. 3) Rules 2026 and come into operation on 15 May 2026.

Road Traffic (Traffic Signs) (Amendment No. 3) Rules 2026 is Singapore Subsidiary Legislation, cited as Subsidiary Legislation S291 2026, currently marked in force and first recorded in 2026.
Citation and commencement
These Rules are the Road Traffic (Traffic Signs) (Amendment No. 3) Rules 2026 and come into operation on 15 May 2026.
Amendment of rule 7
In the Road Traffic (Traffic Signs) Rules (R 33), in rule 7(16) —
in sub‑paragraph (a), replace “diagram 163(a) or (b)” with “diagram 163(a), (b), (c) or (d)”;
in sub‑paragraph (c), replace the full‑stop at the end with “, and such area may, in addition, be marked on each lane of the road by the letters “ERP” in white as shown in diagram 163B in Part III of the Schedule;”; and
after sub‑paragraph (c), insert —“(d)an area of road which measures 25 metres in length along the direction of traffic flow, where —
the edge of the road is indicated by a continuous blue line;
each lane of the road is marked by the letters “ERP” in white as shown in diagram 163B in Part III of the Schedule; and
the boundary between each lane of the road is indicated by broken blue lines.”.
Amendment of Schedule
In the Road Traffic (Traffic Signs) Rules, in the Schedule, in Part III, replace diagrams 163(a) and (b) and 163A(a) and (b) with — “DIAGRAM 163(a) This sign is placed facing approaching vehicles at the start of an ERP Charge Zone on an arterial road. It indicates that vehicles are entering an ERP Charge Zone. DIAGRAM 163(b) This sign is placed facing approaching vehicles at the start of an ERP Charge Zone on an expressway. It indicates that vehicles are entering an ERP Charge Zone. DIAGRAM 163(c) This sign is placed facing approaching vehicles at the start of an ERP Charge Zone on an arterial road. It indicates that vehicles are entering an ERP Charge Zone. DIAGRAM 163(d) This sign is placed facing approaching vehicles at the start of an ERP Charge Zone on an expressway. It indicates that vehicles are entering an ERP Charge Zone. DIAGRAM 163A(a) This marking is painted at the start of an ERP Charge Zone on each lane of an arterial road. It indicates that vehicles on the lane with the marking are entering an ERP Charge Zone. DIAGRAM 163A(b) This marking is painted at the start of an ERP Charge Zone on each lane of an expressway. It indicates that vehicles on the lane with the marking are entering an ERP Charge Zone. DIAGRAM 163B This marking is painted at the start of an ERP Charge Zone on each lane of an arterial road or expressway. It indicates that vehicles on the lane with the marking are entering an ERP Charge Zone.”.
