Power of court to cancel licence, etc.
(1)
The holder of a licence may be required to appear before the Registrar to show cause why his licence should not be cancelled and why he should not be disqualified either permanently or temporarily from holding such a licence —
in the case of an individual — on the ground that he is not a fit and proper person to hold the licence; or
in the case of a corporation — on the ground that the corporation is not a fit and proper person to hold the licence or that any director or secretary of the corporation is not a fit and proper person to be a director or secretary (as the case may be) of a corporation holding such a licence.
(2)
On being satisfied that the relevant ground referred to in subsection (1) has been established the Registrar may order that the licence of the person concerned be cancelled and that that person be disqualified, either permanently or for such period as the Registrar specifies, from holding another such licence.
