Regulation 6

A recipient of the Medal or Clasp who is convicted of a criminal offence or is dismissed or removed from the Police Service for misconduct shall forfeit the Medal or Clasp, unless the Yang di-Pertuan Negara shall otherwise direct.

A Medal or Clasp so forfeited may be restored to the recipient by the Yang di-Pertuan Negara at his discretion.

A notice of forfeiture or restoration shall in every case be published in the Gazette.
