Regulation 7

If a Medal or Clasp has been lost and it is desired to replace it, a declaration shall be made before a Magistrate, stating the circumstances under which the loss occurred, and the rank and name of the person to whom the Medal or Clasp belonged. This declaration shall be forwarded to the Permanent Secretary to the Minister through the usual channels of correspondence in the case of a person who is still serving, and direct to the Permanent Secretary to the Minister in the case of a person who has retired. If the explanation as to the loss is considered satisfactory, the Medal or Clasp shall be replaced on payment being made by the person to cover the cost thereof.
