There are within Singapore the following subordinate courts called the State Courts:
(a)
District Courts;
(b)
Magistrates’ Courts;
(c)
Coroners’ Courts;
(d)
Small Claims Tribunals;
(e)
Employment Claims Tribunals.

The District Courts and Magistrates’ Courts have the jurisdiction conferred by this Act and any other written law.
