Every licence issued on or after 18 February 2021 must be issued for a period of less than 10 years.

The Collector of Land Revenue may reissue to the licensee under a previous licence that expires on or after 18 February 2021 another licence for a period of less than 10 years for the same State land.
Subregulation 2
No licence issued under these Rules shall create or be deemed to create a tenancy in favour of the licensee or give the licensee as against the Government the exclusive right to the occupation of the land described therein.
