Regulation 24

Damage to public street as a result of defect, etc., in utility or apparatus

Where by reason of any —

(a)

defect, deformation or deterioration in;

(b)

ignition, explosion, implosion or collapse of; or

(c)

discharge or leakage of any gas, liquid or other substance from,any utility or apparatus situated on or along, or beneath the surface of, any public street, damage is caused to the public street, the owner of the utility or apparatus shall cause the public street to be repaired at his own expense, failing which the Authority may repair the public street and recover the costs incurred by it from the owner of the utility or apparatus.
