Regulation 3

Toll for driving motor vehicle on causeways

Subregulation 1

A toll of the appropriate amount specified in the Schedule shall be payable by the driver of a motor vehicle on every occasion he uses —

(a)

the Johore Bahru — Woodlands Causeway to leave Singapore;

(aa)[Deleted by S 62/2018 wef 01/02/2018](b)the Second Crossing to leave Singapore; or

(c)

the Second Crossing to enter Singapore.

The toll shall be paid —

(a)

in the case of paragraph (1)(a), at the Immigration Checkpoint at Woodlands before the driver of the motor vehicle uses the Johore Bahru — Woodlands Causeway;

(aa)[Deleted by S 62/2018 wef 01/02/2018](b)in the case of paragraph (1)(b), at the Immigration Checkpoint at Tuas before the driver of the motor vehicle uses the Second Crossing; or

(c)

in the case of paragraph (1)(c) —

(i)

for a motor vehicle in respect of which a vehicle entry permit is granted, at the Immigration Checkpoint at Woodlands or the Immigration Checkpoint at Tuas, before the driver of the motor vehicle leaves Singapore using the Johore Bahru — Woodlands Causeway or the Second Crossing, respectively; or

(ii)

in any other case, at the Immigration Checkpoint at Tuas after the driver of the motor vehicle uses the Second Crossing.

Notwithstanding paragraph (1), an authorised officer may —

(a)

in accordance with any general or specific direction given by the Minister; or

(b)

if, having regard to extreme weather conditions or other emergency, he considers it expedient to do so,at any time allow the driver of a motor vehicle to use the Johore Bahru — Woodlands Causeway to leave or enter Singapore, or the Second Crossing to leave or enter Singapore, without payment of any toll.
