Regulation 4
Payment of toll
Subregulation 1
The toll payable by the driver of a motor vehicle registered under the Act shall be paid by —
entering such information as may be required by the Registrar in relation to the motor vehicle into a card machine at the checkpoint; and
inserting a valid stored value card into a card machine,whereupon the appropriate amount of toll shall be deducted from the stored value of the stored value card.
Subregulation 2
The toll payable by the driver of any motor vehicle in relation to which a vehicle entry card has been issued, being a card the period of validity of which has not expired on the date of the use of the Johore Bahru — Woodlands Causeway or the Second Crossing, as the case may be, shall be paid by inserting the card into a card machine at the checkpoint, whereupon the appropriate amount of toll shall be deducted from the stored value of the card.
Subregulation 3
The toll payable by the driver of any motor vehicle, other than a motor vehicle referred to in paragraph (1) or (2), shall be paid in such manner as the Registrar determines.
Subregulation 4
The Registrar may, in his discretion and in such circumstances as he considers appropriate, permit the toll for a motor vehicle to be paid in any other manner.
Subregulation 5
In this rule —
Definition
“valid stored value card” means a stored value card the period of validity of which, as recorded in an electronic form on the card by the issuer, has not expired;
Definition
“period of validity”, in relation to a vehicle entry card, means the period of validity of the card as recorded in an electronic form on the card by the Authority.
