Proving flights or tests

Subregulation 1

Upon notification from the Director‑General of Civil Aviation, an AOC holder must perform such proving flights that are representative of the AOC holder’s operations to satisfy the Director‑General of Civil Aviation that the AOC holder is able to meet the relevant prescribed requirement.

Subregulation 2

A proving flight mentioned in paragraph (1) must be conducted in a manner acceptable to the Director‑General of Civil Aviation.

Subregulation 3

An AOC holder must ensure that any aircraft that is used for a proving flight only carries —

(a)

the necessary number of crew members; and (b)any other person who —

(i)

is receiving familiarisation or training; (ii)is gaining line operating flight time; or

(iii)

is authorised to represent the Authority.

Subregulation 4

In this regulation, “proving flights” includes proving tests and demonstrations.
