Regulation 53

Cosmic radiation

Subregulation 1

An AOC holder must establish procedures in its Operations Manual for the operation of any relevant aircraft at an altitude above 49,000 ft.

Subregulation 2

The procedures established in accordance with paragraph (1) must include —

(a)

procedures for the use of equipment to monitor cosmic radiation on a flight which is operated at an altitude above 49,000 ft; and

(b)

procedures for recording the total cosmic radiation dose received over a period of 12 consecutive months by any person who is assigned duty as a crew member for a flight of a relevant aircraft which was operated at an altitude above 49,000 ft.
