Regulation 4
Exemptions
Subregulation 1
Except where otherwise specified by the Director in writing, a WIG craft which complies with the requirements of these Regulations shall be exempt from the requirements set out in —
the Merchant Shipping (Load Line) Regulations (Rg 5);
the Merchant Shipping (Special Limits Passenger Ships) Safety Regulations (Rg 8); and
the Merchant Shipping (Non-Convention Ships) Safety Regulations (Rg 9).
Subregulation 2
The Director may exempt any WIG craft or description of WIG craft from all or any of these Regulations and any other regulations made under the Act (as he may specify in the exemption) on such terms as he may specify, and may, subject to giving reasonable notice, alter or cancel any such exemption granted.
Subregulation 3
The Director may exempt any person or description of persons from all or any of these Regulations (as he may specify in the exemption) on such terms as he may specify, and may, subject to giving reasonable notice, alter or cancel any such exemption granted.
