Regulation 6

For the purposes of section 4(3) or 19(3) of the Act, the Minister must, within 30 days from the date of receipt of a countervailing or anti-dumping duty petition, examine the accuracy and adequacy of the evidence provided in the petition.

Where the Minister decides not to initiate an investigation, the Minister must reject the petition and notify the petitioner of the reasons for the rejection.
