Nature and type of trade effluent to be discharged
Subregulation 1
A person must not discharge or cause to be discharged into any public sewerage system any trade effluent —
which is not of a nature or type approved by the Board;
the temperature of which exceeds 45° Celsius at the point of its entry into the public sewerage system;
the pH value of which is less than 6 or more than 9 at the point of its entry into the public sewerage system; or
the caustic alkalinity of which is more than 2,000 milligrams of calcium carbonate per litre at the point of its entry into the public sewerage system.
Subregulation 2
The Board may require any person who seeks to discharge any trade effluent into any public sewerage system to treat the trade effluent before discharging the trade effluent into the public sewerage system, and such person must comply with the requirement.
