Regulation 2B
Application for adjustment of claim submitted to Government
Any person who has submitted (whether before, on or after 1 November 2021) a claim for any payment or reimbursement from the Government under the Act may apply for an adjustment to the claim if the application is made within a period of 5 years which starts on —
in the case of a claim by an employer for reimbursement from the Government for payment made by the employer to an employee in respect of the employee’s absence from work in relation to the delivery or adoption of a child — the last day of the employee’s absence from work that is the subject of that claim;
in the case of a claim by an employer for reimbursement from the Government in respect of any childcare leave or extended childcare leave — the last day of the childcare leave or extended childcare leave (as the case may be) during the relevant period that is the subject of that claim;
in the case of a claim by a self‑employed person for payment from the Government in respect of the self‑employed person’s lost income in relation to the delivery or adoption of a child — the last day of the self‑employed person’s period of cessation of active engagement in any trade, business, profession or vocation that is the subject of the claim; (d)in the case of a claim by a self‑employed person for payment from the Government in respect of the self‑employed person’s lost income for childcare purposes — the last day of the self‑employed person’s period of cessation of active engagement in any trade, business, profession or vocation during the calendar year that is the subject of the claim; and
in the case of any other claim for payment from the Government by a person who is so entitled under the Act — the day immediately before the first anniversary of the child’s birth.
