Regulation 3
Expert’s duty to the court and other parties
Subregulation 1
It is the duty of an expert to assist the court on the matters within the expertise of the expert.
Subregulation 2
This duty overrides any obligation to the person from whom the expert has received instructions or by whom the expert is paid.
Subregulation 3
An expert who has provided an opinion in any proceeding must, without delay, inform all parties to the proceeding and (where appropriate) the court of any change to his or her opinion on any material matter.
