61. Renewal of registration
Feedback & supportAn application for the renewal of registration of a geographical indication under section 51 of the Act must be made not earlier than 6 months before, and not later than 6 months after, the date of expiry of the registration.
An application for the renewal of registration of a geographical indication must be made in Form GI3. (3) Where an application for the renewal of registration of a geographical indication is made in the period of 6 months after the date of expiry of the registration, the application must also be accompanied by the post-expiration renewal fee specified in the First Schedule.
Subregulation 1
An application for the renewal of registration of a geographical indication under section 51 of the Act must be made not earlier than 6 months before, and not later than 6 months after, the date of expiry of the registration.
Subregulation 2
An application for the renewal of registration of a geographical indication must be made in Form GI3.
Subregulation 3
Where an application for the renewal of registration of a geographical indication is made in the period of 6 months after the date of expiry of the registration, the application must also be accompanied by the post-expiration renewal fee specified in the First Schedule.
