Examination of relevant vehicle
For the purposes of section 35B(2)(a) of the Act, in conducting an examination or assessment of a relevant vehicle, a designated examiner must —
ascertain the make and model of the relevant vehicle (including its place of manufacture and device specifications); and
in the case of a relevant vehicle that is a motorised personal mobility device —
check whether the model of the personal mobility device is a model that is certified by a certification body as conforming to all the standards contained or referred to in the UL 2272; (ii)ascertain the presence of any certification mark on or affixed to the personal mobility device, if one is so marked on or affixed to the device and visually inspect any certification mark for its authenticity; and
measure the unladen weight, width and maximum speed of the personal mobility device to ensure that it conforms to the prescribed requirements relating to the construction and condition of that vehicle.
