Privilege against disclosure of matters relating to treatment to terminate pregnancy
of Termination of Pregnancy Act 1974
(1)
A person who —
is concerned with the keeping of medical records in connection with any treatment to terminate pregnancy; or
participates in any treatment to terminate pregnancy,must not, unless the pregnant woman expressly consents to the disclosure, disclose any facts or information relating to the treatment except to such persons and for such purposes as may be prescribed.
(2)
Any person who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $2,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both.
