Amendment of section 17

In the TCASA, in section 17 —

(a)

replace subsection (1) with —“(1) A person must not —

(a)

import into Singapore a tobacco product which, or the packaging or labelling of which, does not comply with subsection (3);

(b)

sell or give in Singapore, or transport, send, deliver or distribute within Singapore a tobacco product mentioned in paragraph (a);

(c)

offer to do any act mentioned in paragraph (b); or

(d)

possess in Singapore a tobacco product mentioned in paragraph (a) for the purpose of doing any act mentioned in paragraph (b).”; and

(b)

in subsection (2), after “import of tobacco products into Singapore”, insert “by a person (other than an individual)”.
