Sending Final Report to IMO
Where an investigation under the Act is carried out into a marine casualty or marine incident, the Director must, as soon as possible after the completion of the investigation, send a copy of the Final report of that investigation to the IMO if —
(a)
the marine casualty or marine incident is an immediately reportable matter; or
(b)
the marine casualty or marine incident is not an immediately reportable matter, but the Final Report contains information which may prevent or lessen the seriousness of marine casualties or marine incidents in the future.
