Clause 14

For the purposes of this Act, the Minister must appoint a public officer or an officer or employee of a public authority to be the Registrar of the Council.

The Minister may appoint one or more Deputy Registrars to assist the Registrar in carrying out the Registrar’s functions and duties under this Act.

The Registrar may, subject to any condition or restriction that the Registrar thinks fit, delegate to a Deputy Registrar any of the Registrar’s powers or functions under this Act, except the power of delegation conferred by this subsection.

The Registrar may continue to exercise any power conferred on him or her or perform any function under this Act despite the delegation of the power or function under subsection (3).
