8. Filling of vacancy in the office of a member

If a vacancy occurs in the membership of the Board, the Minister may appoint any person to fill the vacancy and the person so appointed shall hold office for the unexpired period of the term of office of the member in whose place he is appointed.

“member” means a member of the Board and includes the Chairman, the Deputy Chairman and the Director;

Where the member in whose place a person is appointed under subsection (1) was a representative of a person or class of persons, the member so appointed shall be a representative of the same person or class of persons.
