6. Drains not to be constructed without permission

No person shall, without the permission of the Director, construct, alter or repair any drain so as to affect the drainage of any area.
Director

“Director” means the Director of Water Pollution Control and Drainage appointed under section 3 and includes a Deputy Director and an Assistant Director of Water Pollution Control and Drainage;
(2)
An application for permission to construct, alter or repair any drain shall be made in such form as the Director may require and shall be accompanied by plans showing details of the design and specifications of the drain when constructed, altered or repaired, as the case may be.
(3)
The Director may in granting any permission under this section impose such conditions as he thinks fit.
