Reciprocal arrangements for payment of work injury compensation
(1)
This section applies where there is an arrangement between the Government and the government of any other State by which the sums mentioned in paragraphs (a) and (b) may, at the request of the authority by which the sums are awarded, be transferred to and administered by a competent authority in the territory administered by that government (called in this section the other territory) or by the Commissioner in Singapore, as the case may be:
sums awarded under the law relating to work injury compensation in Singapore to persons resident or becoming resident in the other territory;
sums awarded under the law relating to work injury compensation in the other territory to persons resident or becoming resident in Singapore.
(2)
Where there is an arrangement mentioned in subsection (1), money in the hands of the Commissioner is to be transferred, and money received by the Commissioner is to be administered, in such manner as may be prescribed.
