Drainage of excavations

The builder shall provide or cause to be provided, and shall maintain, proper and adequate drainage for all excavations as long as the excavations continue.

Where any lowering of the water table is envisaged, the builder shall carry out or cause to be carried out adequate provisions to ensure that the lowering of the water table will not cause any damage to surrounding structures, roads and other properties.
